Sporting Trainers and Leggings for Fun and Exercise

As more and more women focus on taking better care of their bodies and themselves, sporty looks are coming back into fashion. The two biggest stars? Trainers and leggings. Trainers come in all shapes and styles, with many big producers even letting you design your own custom pair to be sent to you. Leggings, once just black and meant for use under dresses, are now an entire category of leg wear.

Stylish Leggings
When you use leggings as part of your look, you have to be careful not to overdo it. The temptation is always these, especially since there are leggings with all sorts of crazy colors and designs on them. Use this rule of thumb: only have one standout piece per outfit. If you are wearing a plain, sporty black shirt, you can wear crazy leggings if you want. If your shirt has a fun, bold pattern, stick to plain-colored leggings.
The verdict is still out on whether or not leggings can be worn as pants. Some argue vehemently that leggings are not pants and should only be worn with tunics or dresses. Others say that if you have the body for them, then why not rock them out as pants? Just do whatever you feel comfortable doing.

Sneakers for Fun and Play
For trainers to be part of your "look", they need to send a message. That means that you can't buy a $10 pair of white tennis shoes and call it a day. Instead, choose trainers with bright, bold colors. If you wear lots of dark jeans or black leggings, neon or bright-colored trainers can tie your whole look together.
However, if you use your trainers for exercise too, you'll need to make sure they're supportive. While slimmer, sleeker tennis shoes often look cooler, they may not offer the support and padding that your feet need for intense exercise. Make sure that your tennis shoes fit with heavy socks on and that you can run easily in them. Doing this extra work early on lets you enjoy your trainers without blisters or discomfort.

Transitioning Between Style and Exercise
As popular as they are for looking fashionable, trainers and leggings are also awesome for exercise. But how do you transition your look between the gym and the outside world? First, think about if you exercise in the morning or after work. If you exercise in the morning, you'll have to pack an extra pair of leggings in your bag. Sweat clings to leggings, so there's really
no point in trying to wear your leggings after exercise. If you exercise after work, just make sure you have a tank or tee in your bag that's good for exercise. You can go straight from work or home to the gym without having to change your leggings!
Trainers and leggings are some of the most stylish clothing pieces you can have in your wardrobe. Having a closet stocked full of both will keep you prepared for exercise, fun, and home.
